Company History
Dataprocess Europe (Parent Company to STEVENS) was established near Milan, Italy in 1970 by Enrico Mangiarotti as an innovative manufacturer of electronic equipment for the Retail Market Sector (Retail Scales, Electronic Cash Registers and Label Printers). Dataprocess subsequently became market leader in Italy in this sector and has since diversified into the industrial sector, supplying weighing and process control systems to the Food Industry.
Dataprocess have operations in Italy and the UK (operating from Blackburn, Lancashire) as well as USA, Poland, Spain, France, Germany & Greece.
Dataprocess acquired the Stevens Group in 1995 to strengthen its position in the industrial sector and to enter the UK market. Exploiting the experience of Stevens gained over 160 years in the industry, Dataprocess has developed the business into a leading provider of equipment, systems and service to the food, carrier and cash handling sectors.
Today 'STEVENS' specialise in IT based weighing systems providing shop floor traceability and process control to over 1000 companies across the UK, USA & Europe. In addition, STEVENS operates a dealer network for the distribution of retail and hospitality systems.
